Everything that lives underwater has a story to tell. With over 12,000 dives to his credit on every continent, world-renowned cameraman-diver Mario Cyr knows more than a few. In this 4-part documentary series, Mario, accompanied by marine mammal specialist Lyne Morissette, brings together a merry band of friends, passionate scientists, and artist adventurers for a scientific expedition from his home base on the Magdalen Islands.
Host France Beaudoin joins Mario, Lyne, and their colleagues as they explore the seabed under 4 themes: survival, nighttime, communication, and loving each other. With a portfolio unique in the world, Mario comments on images of polar bears, humpback whales, walruses, jellyfish, and other creatures, many still largely unknown, that he himself has captured on film during his more than 30 years of deep-sea diving.
Inspired by one or more of the many questions that come up, Mylène Paquette, Marc Hervieux, and Guylaine Tremblay join in some of the exceptional experiences that prove to be as instructive as they are astonishing. It’s like a family get-together where many fascinating stories come to light.
