Sauvages et orphelins follows the daily life of animal lovers who’ve set up shelters for orphaned wild animals at their own expense, and often in their own homes. Whether it’s wildlife officers, other shelters, or the public, when the knock comes on their door to care for an orphan baby wild animal, they’re happy to answer the call. And they give the baby orphans all the tender loving care they need until they’re ready to be released back into the wild.

The Sauvages et orphelins documentary takes us into the daily lives of animal caregivers and the animals in their care: feeding, cleaning their cages, and whatever else is necessary to prepare them for their life back in the wild.
