The documentary follows a couple of Indigenous mentors from the Innu community of Pessamit who invite two non-Indigenous individuals with addiction problems for an immersive experience in the Indigenous ways to help them get their lives back on track. During their stay, the mentors introduce them to a series of activities inspired by Innu traditions for getting in touch with themselves. Cut off from the outside world and out of their comfort zone, they must learn to live without their regular dependencies and preoccupations. Through contact with nature and the earth, the guests finally reconnect with themselves. While the change of scenery is a relief, the experience is also confrontational as they must face reality and take stock of their lives.
