Motive (IV)

Region: N/A

Year of Production: 2015

Duration: 780 min.

The hit original crime drama MOTIVE returns for a fourth season, staying true to form with its signature teaser, introducing the audience to both the killer and the victim at the start of each episode. This unique twist allows the viewer to follow along with the detectives as they put the pieces together to solve the ‘whydunit’ of each case.

Joining Season Four are Victor Zinck Jr. ("The 100") and Karen LeBlanc ("Cracked"), who are both set to don detective badges as they become the newest additions to the series’ homicide team. Also joining this season is Tommy Flanagan (“Sons of Anarchy”), as Interpol Agent Jack Stoker. Season Four features 13 exciting new cases, with even more complicated killers and crime scenes. The show’s tradition of showcasing an outstanding roster of guest stars continues.

Season Four picks up three months after the Season Three finale, when Detective Oscar Vega was wheeled into surgery to have a tumour removed. He came through with flying colours and exceeded his doctor’s expectations for a speedy recovery, but being on medical leave while recuperating has left the Homicide team short-handed. Especially after Staff Sergeant Mark Cross requested a transfer back to the Combined Special Enforcement Unit (CSEU). Vega is the obvious choice to replace him, and though his absence has created space for Angie and Lucas’ partnership to flourish and deepen, they’re both anxious for him to get back to work. The unit isn’t the same without him.
