Osisko Mining is seriously upsetting the balance in Malartic, Quebec and putting the lives of the people there in turmoil. Under the Canadian Mining Act, the right to exploit underground resources supercedes the right to property. As a result, the Malartic heritage is left in a shambles while entire families are relocated to make way for the largest open-pit gold mine in Canada. This documentary highlights the helplessness of a small community being sacrificed for profit by a large corporation.
