34th Annual Canadian Country Music Association Awards

The Canadian Country Music Award show is a live awards show that has been happening for the past 33 years in Canada. Each year an award show is presented to honour musicians who have a dynamic impact on the Canadian country music industry right now. In 1987 the show was televised for the first time coast to coast. The 2016 show, hosted once again by Canada’s very own Jessi Cruickshank, will be an upbeat celebration of the country music industry here in Canada.

It is said that music is the very soul of this country and that it reflects the true identity of Canada. The CCMAs are meant to be a celebration that mirrors that statement. As the music industry is evolving and embracing new styles, it is also reflecting new versions of Canadian identity as well as our heritage.
