Three young couples get together to sexually trade partners in this year’s laugh out loud Canadian sex comedy. Lisa and Dan Brown seem to be the perfect couple, great jobs, great kids, great marriage. Why not spice things up at a well-stocked cottage getaway with a hot young couple open to polyamorous adventures? When a third couple shows up to join the fun unexpectedly, things get awkward, especially when it is discovered that one of the women had no idea that this was about to go on. Many laughs ensue, but so do some poignant moments of self-insight, as all six participants realize that they are thinking of swinging for entirely different and personal reasons. Mia Kirshner is no stranger to controversial material having appeared in the trail-blazing tv series The L Word for five seasons, and Erin Karpluk will be familiar to fans of the TV series Being Erica. Jonas Chernick is our go-to guy for hilarious sexual hijinks, having lit up Whistler’s screens with My Awkward Sexual Adventure (2012) and How to Plan an Orgy in a Small Town (2015). He has also shown his more dramatic chops in the film Blood Pressure (2012), but we love him most as the fumbling, horny dreamer that he so skillfully portrays in some of Canada’s funniest sex comedies.
